Barbara Morris is a Bay Area-based writer and artist. Morris, who earned her MFA at UC Berkeley, began to cover the contemporary art scene in 1999. With a strong feminist orientation, her passions in the field include the ever-resilient medium of painting, issues of gender and body image, censorship and the life and work of Andy Warhol. Morris wrote for Artweek magazine for ten years, seven of them as a contributing editor, and has been published as well in Artists Dialogue, Artillery, and stretcher.org.
